It might not look like one that you’d associate with Italy but they do exist. 🚾 Here in Veneto, northern Italy, there are many places where I’ve come across a ‘turca.’ Have I used it? Not yet! 🚽 The name ‘turca’ translates to ‘Turkish’ from which the toilet likely gets its name and origins from. 🚾 A unisex toilet, the way for us ladies to use it is to squat over and go!
